Fundraise and be a headache hero!Use our FREE online Will service and leave a legacy of hope that will benefit people with migraine for years to come
We hope that the National Migraine Centre has been able to help you. Now, would you consider making a gift that will help others affected by migraine and headache?
A gift in your Will could leave an extraordinary legacy of hope for years to come. We receive no NHS or government money – a legacy left to the National Migraine Centre could have an incredible impact on the support that we can offer people with migraine.
If you haven’t already made a Will and live in England or Wales, you can use our completely free service, provided by makeawillonline.co.uk. All Wills are checked by a fully qualified solicitor, with a helpline available for you to call if you have questions.
Once you’ve provided for your loved ones, you can choose to pledge to the National Migraine Centre either a fixed sum or a percentage of your estate.

If you’ve already written a Will and would like to include a gift to the National Migraine Centre, it’s a simple process. Just complete the short Codicil form (below), which amends your existing Will. This is a legal document, so we always recommend consulting your solicitor, who can advise and make sure it’s properly signed and witnessed. Once completed, keep your Codicil with (but not stapled to) your Will.
You can download a Codicil form here (PDF). If you have any problems or would like to discuss your Codicil, get in touch at admin@nationalmigrainecentre.org.uk – we’re happy to help.
Your Codicil must be witnessed by two people in England, Wales or Northern Ireland, or one person in Scotland. All witnesses must be 18 years of age or older, have legal mental capacity, and may not be either your executor / trustee or your spouse / civil partner. The witnesses should actively observe the person signing the Codicil when the signature is made.
If you would like to talk to us about leaving a gift in your Will, or have any questions about the National Migraine Centre’s work, just drop us an email at admin@nationalmigrainecentre.org.uk, including your name and contact details, and a member of the team will be in touch.
Note:
When using our free online Will service, details of your gift will be shared with us, including the amount and the date of your Will. We would be grateful if you also choose to share your name and contacts details too, which is optional – this allows us to thank you and keep you updated with information about the charity and ways you can get involved.
Any information provided by the National Migraine Centre on Wills, including the information provided on the witnessing of the Codicil, is for informational purposes only. It does not constitute any form of legal advice and should not be treated as a substitute for specific legal advice. It is not intended to be relied upon by you in making (or refraining from making) any specific decisions. We strongly recommend that you obtain professional legal advice from a qualified solicitor before taking or refraining from taking any action.
