Help us beat the misery of migraine
Have you ever wished you could give something back and help others affected by migraine? Well, now’s your chance!
Join our friendly team and make a real difference!
The National Migraine Centre is looking for a committed individual to join our friendly team and help others beat the misery of migraine.
Every week, our expert headache specialists prepare dozens of letters that help people control their headaches and get on top of migraine. But to do that, they rely on volunteers who can proofread and correct, ensuring accuracy and clarity, before mailing the final letters to patients and GPs.
Could that be you?
About you
We’re looking for a volunteer with a good grasp of written English who’s a devil for the detail, can tackle typos and correct commas, simplify sentences and work with our doctors to produce accessible and informative medical reports for our patients.
You’ll also need:
• at least a basic grasp of Microsoft Word and Outlook
• a computer at home
• reliable, secure WiFi
Where and when
You can be anywhere within the UK as you’ll work remotely, but you’ll join a friendly team who are passionate about helping people manage migraine.
You’ll need to be available weekly for at least eight hours each week, and we’re really looking for someone able to give a longer term commitment.
Join the team!
You’ll join a small, friendly team and gain the satisfaction of putting your skills to work helping those affected by migraine and other headache conditions. There’s comprehensive training provided that will enhance your skills and knowledge too.
You’ll join Linda and Karen, valued volunteers who have been working on our letters for years, since doctors from the National Migraine Centre helped them.
